I went to the Centre of Contemporary Art museum in Rotterdam. I saw two pieces of artwork that caught my eye. This art piece (see picture 1 below) in particular was stood in this separate room from the rest of the artwork on show.
There were a lot of different pieces of artwork in this structure and outside of it. It was really weird how they put it all together but it worked, it stood out. My general overview of the piece was “wow that’s interesting” There were also different paintings around the outside of the structure.

The different colours, the detail, structure, definition, texture, shapes made the whole piece of artwork work. There was even a guitar in the middle of the piece that made me think, but they all must have a short story behind them to be all put together. I thought the piece was done by a musician/artist. I liked the way it has all been put together and it was very imaginative. The style was flawless and creative.
Another piece that I liked (see picture 2 below) was another brilliant piece that I saw in the museum. This piece I think was made out of metal. It was a weird piece that had been put together but it looked really good. I had no idea what the 1st piece (see above) was called or even this one. I liked the way it had been made but I couldn’t think of how they did it.

The time and the detail that was given just made it that even more spectacular. This design was in another room by itself because it’s quite wide and tall.My overall view of this amazing piece of artwork was words could not come to mind how brilliant it was.
The only thing I disliked about it was, that it was quite plain ie the colour but then again it isn’t really a piece that you can slap different colours onto.

I saw a piece of theatre called Ngapartji Ngapartji, the story was about an aboriginal bloke from the outskirts of Australia and he and his family lived on this piece of land where there was nothing so they had to hunt for food and shelter.
They was a close family because they are all together and doing the same thing, hunting for survival. Until One day the government came over and took action by trying to destroy them and their families with nuclear bombs so they had to move to another land.
It was very moving how the main actor told the story and there was even video footage of what happened to them.
I thought the piece was really interesting and moving, you actually thought you were in the play itself because the actor told the story so well. I cannot think of any dislikes I had towards the performance, and I liked every single minute of the performance especially the sheer determination and passion that he had.
My overall conclusion to my review of the exhibition and theatre performance is that I loved everything and I would like to continue to see different things in the art industry because I really liked it and I’d get a feel for it, for what’s going on in the different arts industries.
