SCIENCE DANCE PROJECT
As part of our Creative Partnerships programme in Mellor Community Primary School we were asked to come up with an innovative way for Year 1 pupils to study the topic of forces. The whole year group took part in a series of dance workshops based on the forces they had been studying - pushing, pulling etc. At the same time a small group created a rhythmic recording based on writing created in literacy lessons, also based on the theme of forces. The two groups came together at the end and made a video recording of the dance to the music. Over the sessions the students experienced forces by putting them into action in the dance piece.
