The Supporting Tenants and Residents (STAR) service of Leicester City Council commissioned Soft Touch to work with service users to make a DVD and booklet about STAR. They are designed to raise awareness of the service and dispel myths about accessing support. The project also enabled service users to take ownership of something they had put together themselves and gave them a sense of achievement. The materials are based on real people and their experiences, giving a realistic view of the service and examples of how STAR has helped them overcome difficult circumstances.

This is what Jazz, one of the participants had to say about being involved: "As well as learning new skills the project was a great opportunity to meet new people. Another aspect that was good was that everyone got involved in the editing process".
