Will 2011 be the year you make that change?
Are you a young mum or are you pregnant?
Would you like to learn some skills that could help you to make that change and start your own business or go to college?
If you want to be part of a new project then why not get in touch?
The SheStylers project started in 2010. It is for young mums or young pregnant women aged 16 – 19. As the name suggests it has a fashion theme, which may take the form of making felt shoes for your babies to nail art classes and making your own bath products (luscious!)
If you’re interested in making things and want to do something different then SheStylers is the one for you. The project is run by Soft Touch Arts and if you want to find out about how to join in then contact: jen@soft-touch.org.uk or call her on 0116 270 2706.

SheStylers News: November 2011
SHEStylers are busy at the moment making preparations for our part in the Connexions exhibition at the LCB Depot. The launch date is 24th November 2011 and is set to run for a week.
The first 2011 SHEStylers at Braunstone is now coming to an end after 14 weeks of sessions. The young women who took part loved the project so much that they are recruiting more young women from the Braunstone and Newparks area to start a new group which they will mentor. So if you live near this area and want to join in get in touch now.
SHEStylers is coming to Coalville at the end of November. We will be making things for Christmas so if you would like to join in get in touch with Jen on 0116 270 2706 Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
If you know of any young woman who is 16 -19; not in employment, education or training; and is either pregnant, has a baby, or maybe at high risk of becoming pregnant, then please contact Jen at Soft Touch on 0116 270 2706 or jen@soft-touch.org.uk

The recordings you can hear are part of an intergenerational project commissioned by Connexions with a view to how things have changed for young mums over the years with regards to attitudes and support. They cover the 60’s, 80’s, 90’s and present day.
