Young people from Braunstone used stencils to brighten up this dark and cheerless underpass in the autumn of 2007. The mural was funded by Blaby District Council.

The village of Fleckney in Harborough district has very few facilities for young people. The Parish Council asked Soft Touch to work with local youth to help rehabilitate a run-down sports pavilion. They applied to Awards for All for the funding to bring us in.

The idea was to reduce vandalism at the recreation ground where the building is located. Parish Council chair, Anne Gilhespy said that the project showed the community that young people "offer positive, vibrant contributions to our life". During the summer of 2008 we worked with the young people to come up with the designs for the outside of the building. They were painted onto boards which were unveiled at a party on 15 August 2008.
