The Soft Touch Toastbusters refugee and asylum seeker cooking project street-food stall is had its first outing at the Canteen August event which was also the opening of Journeys International Festival. A celebration of delicious global street food took place on Friday 25 August from 5pm at the LCB Depot.
Toastbusters is a social enterprise project run by local charity Soft Touch Arts with refugees and asylum seekers in Leicester attending regular cooking sessions at the charity’s HQ at 50 New Walk.

The project combats social isolation by enabling people to make new friendships and at the same time they learn healthy cooking and catering skills and share recipes from their home countries. Expect mouth watering and delicious toasted wraps with a range of exotic vegetarian and vegan fillings served with salads and relishes.
Do try and pop down and try one of the delicious toasted wrap meals! Feedback on tastings so far have been excellent.
