Our café runs on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, serving food from 10:00-2:00 open until 2:30 for drinks and cake.
Our doors are open to the public to come and experience first hand this fantastic project where young people work with our facilitators to learn how to make freshly made, healthy, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals. They also run the front of house learning how to take orders and how to handle money while build confidence and communication skills.
The cafe is in our Exhibition space accessed from New Walk, near the museum.

The café project also hosts possibilities for other participants to come and use the space to perform, run workshops, sell their work and more.
We very much welcome members of the public taking the opportunity to support our young people by using our space to meet friends or colleagues and purchasing something delicious from our café. It helps create a positive environment for our participants and all monies spent goes back into running the project.
I have loved coming to the Tuesday sessions and I have learnt many skills. I can now come in on a Tuesday and start the bread making process by my self. I know the measurements and the technique. I love the baking process and the smells as its baking. I have experimented with the following flavours: chilli and cheese and sun d's, seeded, fougasse, olive garlic and herb, traditional pizza base, pizza swirls.
Out of all of these my favourites are pizza swirls and the cheese and chilli. I love the structure Tuesday gives me and it allows me to get out the house and learn new skills.
I also like Dave's sense of humor. I love to come and talk to Minal and it helps me to make good food. I love what Dave has taught me. I also love to share my bakes. I love Dave's jokes. We like the atmosphere created by Dave and Minal, they make us feel comfortable and always have new ideas and we listen to music when we bake.
