Saturday 25th May marks the start of the Soft Touch Arts Eco week!
A week of creative activity to make sculptures, raising awareness of Marine pollution, making giant sculptures out of rubbish, and found materials.
Join us from Saturday 25th May through to Friday 31st May for Sculpture, Music, Food and discussion.
We will be making art and sculpture out of reclaimed, saved from landfill junk, to create a thought provoking sculpture, highlighting some of the issues that affect our oceans, waterways and planet. Last year we produced an animal eco-army, this year is anyone's guess.....
There will be live music throughout the week from some of our young musicians who access music projects at Soft Touch Arts.
This project is brought to you in partnership with De Montfort University's Community Challenge Fund.
Our Eco Army which occupied New Walk and Museum Square last summer.
Land-locked Leicester will be getting a sea based twist on our upcycling project this May.
