New Parks in the Making

In Summer 2025, we led an arts and heritage project that shed light on the social history of the New Parks area and celebrated it in a way that the community could enjoy.

Soft Touch worked with a group of young people from Herewoode Academy in New Parks to undertake research and develop a place-maker, in the form of a tapestry, which now hangs proudly in New Parks Library for the whole community to enjoy.

New Parks in the Making is being funded by Historic England’s History in the Making grant.
